Dannheisser, CMP Consultant <br /> DATE: February 15, 2018 <br /> RE: Member Selection of the City's PAAC <br /> You will recall in the Fall, 2017, the City issued a Call for Potential Members of the <br /> Public Arts Advisory Committee. By the first week in January, we received twelve (12) <br /> applications from talented individuals, eleven of whom were residents of the City and wishing to. <br /> serve. On January 25, 2018, the City Manager, Assistant City Manager Susan Simpson and I <br /> individually met with nine (9) of these applicants' and after reaching a consensus, we can <br /> recommend the following five (5) qualified candidates as well as two (2) alternates, who may <br /> vote when any one of the five is not present, and, provided they have seen all the presentations, <br /> been privy to the debate, and are, therefore, prepared to vote. <br /> The resumes of the recommended members are attached and follow in no particular <br /> order: <br /> • Dr. Carla Hozebin (Ar1/art history degree, supervision of art department at Cooper <br /> City High School, involved with public space community projects) <br /> • Ms. Diane Drabkin (20 year board member in charge of fundraising events& <br /> programming for MOCA Chicago &planner of Art Vernissage [Chicago "Art Basel J <br /> • Mr. Fabio Oliveira (Architect and designer in Skidmore, Owings &Merrill, <br /> Washington DC for high end projects including projects involving urban planning) <br /> 1 Of the 12,one applicant was eliminated at the outset because he was a non-resident.The other was interviewed by phone <br /> because of scheduling issues. <br /> LYNN M.
