After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology, he pursued a career in the construction management industry. Chris held the positions of Project Administrator, Project Manager, Contracts Manager, and finally Project Controls Manager for the Orion Marine Group before deciding to join Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. Chris has managed hundreds of millions of dollars in construction. The clients for these projects ranged from federal, state, local and private clients. Chris gained construction experience throughout the southeastern United States as well as in the Caribbean. 19. RELEVANT PROJECTS <br />a. <br />(1)TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) <br />MOL Dames Point Container Terminal Expansion <br />Jacksonville, FL <br />(2) YEAR COMPLETEDPROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2008 CONSTRUCTION (if applicable) 2008 (3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm Mr. Giordano was the Project Manager for a portion of the $198 Million Jaxport expansion project. Due to ship traffic schedules and involvement from the port pilots and private entities, this project carried with it a strict schedule with heavy liquidated damages. Mr. Giordano was able to coordinate with numerous other contractors onsite to ensure the 2,000,000 CY of material were relocated to allow for the installation of a seawall and the upland construction container terminal and gantry cranes. <br />b. <br />(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) <br />Newport Pier demolition and reconstruction, FL <br />(2) YEAR COMPLETEDPROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2011-2013 CONSTRUCTION (if applicable) 2013 (3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm Project manager - managed the demolition of the existing pier and the construction of the 776-foot long pier, which included a 6,200 sf restaurant and second story lifeguard office and observation tower. The pier decking was placed atop 24”x24” precast-driven piles. The project also required the design, permitting and installation of new utility lines from Collins Ave. Cost: $6M <br />c. <br />(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) <br />Surfside Seawalls Phase I <br />(2) YEAR COMPLETEDPROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2012-2015 2015(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm Mr. Giordano served as contract manager for the investigation, design, permitting, grant application, and construction of the $1 Million Phase I of the project. The project included the construction of five (5) new precast concrete panel seawalls throughout the Town. CGA was successful in obtaining a 50/50 grant match from F. I. N. D. <br />d. <br />(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) <br />Sunny Isles Beach Emergency Seawall Replacement <br />(2) YEAR COMPLETEDPROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2014 2014(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm Mr. Giordano served as contract manager for the emergency design, permit, and replacement of a partially failed seawall located at the Intracoastal Park. The $1.5 Million project included the construction of two new precast concrete panel Seawalls along with required reprap remediation. <br />44
