<br />Created an atlas of the existing utilities by contacting all utilities in the project area to obtain utility location information for design team. Also assisted in the design of storm water upgrades to specific areas of the quadrant, including drainage well locations, storm water force main and relocation of two sanitary force mains along NE 14th Ave to a single run to accommodate the upsizing of storm water pipes and pump station buildings.

<br />Project engineer for the replacement of existing water main and sewage force main under the Dania Cut-off Canal via Horizontal directional drill to accommodate the proposed dredging of the canal. Also included was the replacement of an additional 1200 LF of the existing mains on NE 7th Avenue up to NE 10th St. to accommodate the future airport expansion projects.

His expertise includes preparing and designing paving and grading, drainage, water distribution, sanitary sewer, signing and pavement marking plans using the latest version of AutoDesk Software. Mr. Orefice is familiar with local county design standards, procedure practices, and guidelines, therefore he often is charged with reviewing plans for compliance with established client standards or agency requirements.

<br />Project Designer for Nova Drive, from Davie Road to east of University Drive, to widen a portion of the corridor from 2 lanes to 4 lanes and implement complete streets initiatives including reducing lane widths, traffic calming measures, adding bike lanes and sharrows, pedestrian improvements, signing and pavement marking plans, MOT, drainage modifications, lighting, and tree removal/relocations.
