The scope included designing astabilization system for a badly eroded and unstable shoreline embankment along with vegetating the shoreline, andobtaining all required permits for the installation of the site features including a fishing dock and platform.

Permitting required extensive negotiation with various Divisions of Broward County including thedevelopment of an Agreement with the County and City for use of the County land, and approval by the County Commission.

The project involved the construction of new bike lanes, meandering sidewalks, curb and gutter, lightingand landscape improvements. CGA environmental staff completed a habitat assessment of the entire project corridorand conducted the submerged lands assessments at the locations of the outfalls. CGA completed and submitted theenvironmental LAP documentation, and obtained environmental permits through the U.S Corps of Engineers and theSouth Florida Water Management District.
