He has completed over 50 marina and associated waterfront improvement projects. The marinas have included facilities for both wet and dry slips, and services have ranged from due diligence, planning, and feasibility studies, through engineering design, environmental permitting and <br />construction administration. Mr. Blankenship has also completed numerous beach management projects throughout southeast Florida. <br />He has managed field investigations including sand searches, sand compatibility testing, hydrographic and beach profile surveys, as <br />well as geophysical surveys. He has served as Engineer-of-Record for several dredge and truck haul beach fill placement projects in <br />Florida. Mr. Blankenship is a co-author of Manual 50, Planning and Design Guidelines for Small Craft Harbors published in 2012 by <br />the Marinas 2020 Task Committee of the Ports and Harbors Committee of the Coasts, Oceans, Ports and Rivers Institute of the <br />American Society of Civil Engineers. <br />19. Managed the marine resource and hydrographic surveys conducted, and the mooring field layout was established based on minimum water depths required to protect water quality. Designed and secured permits for a 33,700 c.y. truck haul beach <br />nourishment event built in 2018. Mr. Blankenship also managed the beach construction project by providing construction <br />administration and managing Resident Project Representative (RPR) services and managing the post-construction physical <br />and biological monitoring services provided in accordance with the environmental permits. The Plan outlines a management approach that addresses improvements to existing dune features and new vegetated dunes. An important focus of the Plan is to foster dune projects that can have both immediate and long-term shore protection, ecological, and aesthetic benefits, while also developing a feasible program in terms of design, permitting, funding, and maintenance. Mr. Blankenship served as Engineering Project Manager.
