QUALIFICATION INFORMATION AND ASSIGNED PERSONNEL Background of the Team Members We carefully selected an experienced team to bring the City the highest quality services in the marine and coastal engineering disciplines described in the RFQ. APTIM’s multidisciplinary team has extensive project experience working together to successfully complete coastal projects for our clients. Our in‐house coastal engineers, biologists, geologists, surveyors and GIS/CAD staff work together to successfully permit, design, construct, and monitor numerous marine and coastal projects for counties and municipalities on Florida’s Atlantic and Gulf coasts. APTIM’s multidisciplinary approach is supported by specialized sub‐consultants to address the City’s specific coastal needs described in this RFQ. We are confident that our exceptionally well‐qualified and experienced team can meet or exceed all the requirements of the City’s scope of services. Aptim Environmental & Infrastructure Inc. Description of Firm Since 1984, APTIM has provided professional marine and coastal engineering, hydrographic and geophysical surveys, and environmental services to our clients. We have earned an excellent reputation with local, state, and federal agencies responsible for permitting and overseeing marine and coastal programs. For over 30 years, we have designed, permitted, provided construction administration, and conducted permit compliance monitoring for more coastal and marine projects than any other private engineering firm in the United States. We have designed over 90 beach nourishment projects and over 30 coastal structure projects for municipal, state, and federal clients throughout Florida, up the Atlantic seaboard, and the Gulf coast (Exhibit 4). Our extensive list of repetitive and long‐term clients is a testament to our work and commitment to excellence. Along the Atlantic seaboard of Florida, our team of professionals has worked with Miami‐Dade County, Broward County, Palm Beach County, City of Miami, City of Delray Beach, Town of Hillsboro Beach, City of Deerfield Beach, and the Town of Palm Beach on a number of large and small scale shoreline stabilization and restoration projects (ocean and bayside), as well as inlet management projects. The breadth of experience gained from these projects has provided our professionals with the knowledge and expertise to provide the City with solutions to marine and coastal issues. Our decades of experience collaborating with municipal and county governments has instilled a responsibility to address each project with technical excellence, environmental consciousness, cost effectiveness, and public tax dollar budget‐mindedness. We pride ourselves on developing cost effective designs that meet requirements of regulatory and resource agencies, and our proactive coordination with these agencies facilitates a successful and timely permitting process. Our extensive experience designing and permitting Florida coastal projects will allow us to assist the City in planning and implementing successful marine and coastal projects.
