APTIM offers an integrated approach with a full team of experts in the following disciplines:  Coastal/Marine Engineering  Biology  Coastal Geology  Survey  Geographic Information Systems (GIS)/CAD Our team of professional engineers, biologists, numerical modelers, geologists, surveyors, remote sensing and mapping scientists and GIS specialists handle all phases of marine and coastal projects from reconnaissance through feasibility and design level studies to construction management and post‐ construction monitoring. This foundation of engaging multiple scientific disciplines has delivered exceptional value to our clients throughout the entire process of project implementation. Our professionals have extensive experience with all aspects of marine and coastal engineering including beach nourishment, navigation projects, coastal structures (breakwater fields, groins, inlet jetties), marinas and boat facilities, numerical modeling of coastal processes, marine geophysical and geotechnical investigations, hydrographic surveys, NEPA compliance and permitting, and environmental monitoring. Marine and Coastal Engineering Services Summary The following presents a summary of the expertise APTIM will utilize on this RFQ to provide the City with specialty services in beach/marine/intracoastal waterway engineering services; environmental engineering; local, state and federal permitting; geotechnical services; land surveying services; marine structural engineering services; environmental monitoring; and coastal and hydrographic surveying services. Coastal Engineering The combined experience of APTIM’s engineers is unmatched in the field of coastal engineering. Since 1984, we have designed and implemented more coastal and marine projects than any other engineering firm in the United States, including more than 25 beach and dune restoration projects in just the last 10 years, and over 90 in our 30+ year history. Our success in providing the best beach restoration projects for our clients, is guided by the application of proven methodologies combined with innovative design. Our engineers are responsible for the study, planning and design of beach and bayside projects that include shoreline stabilization, habitat restoration, artificial reef construction, inlet/canal management and coastal structures. Our engineers work closely with our biologists to provide timely, cost‐effective solutions that meet our client’s project goals while protecting the natural resources of the coastal ecosystem.
