  <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH SECTION 03400 - 1 <br />CEMENT GROUT <br />  <br />SECTION 03400 <br /> <br />CEMENT GROUT <br /> <br />PART 1- GENERAL <br /> <br />1.1 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />A. This section covers the labor, equipment and materials required to furnish and install <br />the annular grout between the existing 24” steel well casing and proposed 20” PVC <br />casing liner, only at the wells that the “After” Downhole Video reveals the steel casing <br />has been compromised (subsequent to approval by the OWNER and ENGINEER). <br /> <br />1.2 SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />A. Provide data on all proposed additives and manufacturer's specifications. <br /> <br />B. Provide bulk cement units weight tickets for verification of cement quantities pumped. <br /> <br />C. During cementing, provide cement slurry weight data for each grouting stage. A fixed, <br />safe, accessible location to collect samples must be provided to the satisfaction of the <br />ENGINEER. Samples of the cement slurry shall be collected, weighed and recorded. <br />The correct mix ratios shall be maintained. If performed in batches, provide slurry <br />weight and collect sample for each batch mixed. If performed in continuous mixing, <br />provide slurry weights and collect samples at the beginning, middle, and end of <br />pumping for each grouting stage. <br /> <br />PART 2- PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />A. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish and install all grout and additives as specified. <br /> <br />B. Ready-mixed cement will not be allowed for this project unless otherwise approved by <br />the OWNER or ENGINEER. <br /> <br />2.2 PORTLAND CEMENT <br /> <br />Cement grout shall be API class B Portland cement and conform to ASTM C150, Type II <br />standards. <br /> <br />
