CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH SECTION 00500 - 3 <br />GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.1 REPORTING <br />A.The CONTRACTOR shall furnish two high quality field copies of the various geophysical <br />logs to the ENGINEERS immediately following logging operations. The CONTRACTOR <br />shall deliver seven final copies prepared by the logging company to the ENGINEER prior <br />to completion of the work. <br />B.The CONTRACTOR shall keep a daily activity log once the work is started and until <br />completed. The daily log will describe the nature of conditions encountered, the work <br />done during each day, items of work accomplished, materials used during each day, the <br />water level in the well at the beginning and end of each shift, and other pertinent data as <br />required by the ENGINEER. The City will utilize this information to prepare reports to the <br />appropriate regulatory agencies if required. <br />C.After maintenance, rehabilitation and construction activities have been completed, the <br />wall structure and the well shall be thoroughly cleaned of all foreign substances, including <br />tools, timbers, rope, debris of any kind, cement, oil, grease, and scum. <br />D.The CONTRACTOR shall at all times keep the premises free from accumulations of <br />waste materials caused by his employees or work and shall clean up as often as <br />necessary and as directed by the ENGINEER. After the well modification has been <br />completed, the site shall be cleaned up; any ditches dug should be filled in; any ditches <br />filled shall be returned to normal; all peripheral materials and any other imported <br />substances shall be removed; and the site returned to its original condition. <br />E.The CONTRACTOR shall take precautions as necessary, or as required, to permanently <br />prevent contaminated water or water having undesirable physical, bacteriological, or <br />chemical characteristics from entering through the opening made by the CONTRACTOR <br />in the stratum. The CONTRACTOR shall take all necessary precautions to prevent <br />contaminated water, gasoline, etc. from entering the disposal wells. <br />F.At all times during the progress of the work, the CONTRACTOR shall protect the well to <br />effectively prevent either accidental or willing tampering or the entrance of foreign matter. <br />The CONTRACTOR shall provide and set substantial temporary barricades satisfactory <br />to the ENGINEER, as needed. <br />END OF SECTION
