I <br /> 3.08 DISPOSAL OF UNSUITABLE AND SURPLUS MATERIAL <br /> 1 A. All surplus and unsuitable excavated material shall be disposed of at the <br /> Contractor's cost in one of the following ways as directed by the Engineer. <br /> 1. Transport to soil storage area on Owner's property and stockpile or <br /> spread as directed by the Engineer. <br /> 2. Transport from Owner's property and legally dispose of. Any permit <br /> required for the hauling and disposing of this material beyond Owner's <br /> property shall be obtained prior to commencing hauling operations. <br /> 1 Copies of all required permits shall be provided to the Engineer. <br /> B. Suitable excavated material may be used for fill if it meets the specifications for <br /> 1 common fill and is approved by the Engineer.
