These
facilities include eight (8) passenger terminals moving over 3.5 million people per year,
and cargo facilities handling over 8.5 million tons of cargo per year. The port generates
over $8 billion/year for the local economy and helps support over 45,000 jobs in Miami-
Dade County. Obviously, security is crucial. We were selected by a committee composed
of Port of Miami (security and IT), Foster Wheeler, P&O, and Haskell personnel from a
large field of potential vendors and after several other pre-qualified firms provided
technical proposals and presentations. Upon being selected based on our analysis and
preliminary design (from 30% drawings), we worked closely with Haskell, Port
personnel, and their designated architects and engineers to develop a complete design,
modified for future IP applications. The implementation of that design for a facility-wide
CCTV/Access Control security system and fiber optic network is now underway.
Contact: Port Security Director Nelson Dramas at 305-347-4901
Park West/Fine Art Sales, Inc.
QUALITY COMMUNICATIONS FIRE AND SECURITY, INC. completed a fast-track
design/build 60 day integrated Electrical/CCTV/Card Access job for FASI.
