The
contractor was willing to go the extra mile in accommodating the Government by completing
work in rooms located in various parts of the building so furniture, equipment and wiring could be
installed simultaneously during completion of other building areas.
The contractor's proposals for changes in work-were submitted timely and usually at reasonable
cost. Submittals, shop drawings, payrolls, payment requests, daily logs and other documentation
required under the contract were always submitted in a timely manner. When problems were
encountered, the contractor proposed solutions to the Government for consideration. When
directed to proceed with work, he did so without hesitation. Even after acceptance of the facility
by the Government, the contractor proceeded with diligence to complete the punch list and still
:ontinued to aggressively respond to warranty%gsnes without complaint.
This contractor is one a of very few construction contractors that I would look forward to
working with on another larger construction project. His professionalism in contract management
and quality of workmanship is far superior to the norm Ills efforts to work as a team both with
the Government, the design firm and his subcontractors has truly earned him the Partners in
Quality Conrracting Award.
