March 21, 2013 <br />ATTACHMENT A <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br />Arlen House Right -of -Way Streetscape Improvement Project Scope of Services <br />Bermelto Ajamil & Partners Inc. (B &A) is pleased to provide the City of Sunny Isles Beach (City) a <br />Scope of Services to provide design services associated with the Arlen House Right -of -Way <br />Streetscape Improvement Project. The City desires to retain B &A to provide Geotechnical, <br />Survey, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Landscape Architectural <br />and Irrigation design services. All services shall be provided based on RFQ #12 -04 -02, <br />Prequalified Engineering, Architectural, Landscape Architectural and Land Surveying Services <br />Contract. The fees outlined in this proposal are based on the agreed upon multiplier. <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The project is in Sunny Isle Beach, Florida and is located along the western side of Collins Avenue <br />(south of 1581h Street) and the south side of 1581h Street /Bayview Drive (west of Collins Avenue). <br />Specifically, the width of the project is from the back of the curb along Collins Avenue and 158th <br />Street (and west and south respectfully( to the edge of the landscape and wall easement <br />(which varies in width from 2' to 23' from the right -of -way lines); the length is from the southern <br />City limit north along Collins Avenue and west on 1581h Street to 20' west of the existing <br />pedestrian gate. The project is approximately 555 linear feet. The City is the owner of the <br />property in 158th Street right -of -way: Arlen House Condominium Association is the owner of the <br />landscape and wall easement although the City has entered into a Use Agreement with said <br />entity: and Florida Department of Transportation is the owner of the Collins Avenue right -of -way. <br />Under previous authorization, B &A prepared and submitted a Conceptual Master Plan that <br />illustrated general intent for the project area. Services provided under this authorization will be <br />based on that approved Plan. Specifically the project includes removal of existing landscape <br />and screen wall, and the addition of a 6' concrete paver sidewalk along the existing curb. <br />addition of a screen /retaining wall and columns along the easement, addition of soil fill within <br />the easement to raise grade 2' to 3', new Arlen House vehicular gate system and associated <br />driveway, bus shelter foundation, landscaping, landscape lighting and irrigation. <br />The anticipated construction budget for the project is $500,000. The budget is the basis for the <br />scope of services. it shall be considered an additional service and fees renegotiated if <br />additional budget is allocated for the construction work. <br />Fld6Il41561Zi4A7144? <br />PART I - PRE - DESIGN: $9,690 <br />Project Management - B &A shall coordinate the City's schedule as it relates to this scope, and <br />will provide timely invoicing and reporting of project progress. <br />Existing Data & Survey Services - The City will provide B &A with the following data: boundary, <br />topography, site and tree surveys that B &A will incorporate into the development of base plans <br />prior to beginning design work. B &A will consider all information supplied by the City as <br />accurate and correct. Additional work required due to inaccurate, incorrect, or incomplete <br />information supplied by the City shall be completed as an Additional Service. <br />Attachment "A" <br />
