This City- wide utility conversion project will require a joint effort among the City, FPL, AT&T and Comcast to accomplish the City’s goal of removing all overhead utilities. Our Team’s experience includes successful completion of roadway systems, pavement curbs, new sidewalks, landscaping, street lighting, and restoration of facilities and driveways damaged by the conversion of underground utilities. We are teamed with Mead & Hunt, civil engineers located in Port Orange, FL as our lead sub-consultant to prepare the conduit plans. The selection of this firm was made because of their extensive experience in undergrounding projects, and their track record of having prepared comprehensive and detailed plans that will meet the City’s expectations of identifying underground conflicts and fully describing the surface restoration requirements. Our Team will: • perform a survey of the project limits • prepare base maps for the utility companies’ use during their design • coordinate with the affected utilities • prepare a preliminary design for conduit, street lighting, landscaping, and drainage • identify and assist the City in securing the necessary easements for facilities outside the current right-of-way (we understand that the City will perform the individual outreach to secure easements) • prepare the final utility conduit, street lighting, landscaping, drainage design, and utility adjustments • prepare final bid and contract documents • prepare regulatory permit application packages and assist the City in obtaining the permits required • provide assistance to the City for the bidding process • provide construction-related services such as construction administration, submittal review, construction observation, and certification • assist the City in public outreach throughout the project, including an education campaign, and information during construction Other sub-consultants on our team include the following: Patterson & Dewar Engineers, Inc.
