BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size and cost) <br /> <br />The existing east-west Palmetto Park Road project segment is a six-lane divided urban major arterial roadway, within a <br />200 ft. right of way (R/W). The roadway has a posted speed limit of 40 mph eastbound and 45 mph westbound. Project <br />improvements consist of adding eastbound and westbound auxiliary lanes and 7-foot buffered bike lanes along the <br />existing 0.5-mile-long project segment between Military Trail and the CSX Railroad west of I-95. Improvements will also <br />include the design of a northbound to eastbound “hot right” turn allowing the free flow movement with associated <br />traffic signal adjustments. Other tasks include permitting, drainage, light pole relocations and utility coordination <br />assistance. <br /> <br />Optional Services include Post Design Services, Environmental Permitting (based on presence of protected species) and <br />Retaining Wall design. Services may include, but will not be limited to, meetings, construction assistance, plans <br />revisions, shop drawing review and survey services. <br /> <br />25.
