BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size and cost) Miami-Dade County and the Water and Sewer Department required a Design Survey for the replacement of an outdated water main with the installation of a new 16-inch water main along 1.2 miles of SW 56th Street in Miami- Dade County. Erdman Anthony conducted a design survey of the entire corridor including 300 feet up numerous side streets. The design survey included, a survey of trees with generic nomenclature, a drainage study in which existing inverts was measured, and a right-of-way file based upon right-of-way, subdivision, and sectional monuments. Cross-sections were also performed along an intersecting creek being maintained by South Florida Water Management District called Snapper Creek. The bridge spanning the creek was located along with the above ground utilities in which it carried. The underside, with clearances, of the I-95 overpass was measured and obtained for design and obstruction purposes. A baseline for construction was determined and staked along with benchmarks and reference points which did not exceed 1000 feet along the corridor as required by the client. 25.
