Horning, P.E., LEED AP | Project Manager <br />Joshua is a civil engineer with more than 14 years of varied engineering and management <br />experience through all project phases. Josh has successfully provided management, design, and <br />construction administration services for large and small infrastructure projects across Florida. His <br />successful management of undergrounding projects for the City of Sunny Isles Beach, the City of <br />Fort Lauderdale, and the Village of Key Biscayne, along with his extensive involvement with the <br />Palm Beach Undergrounding of Utilities project makes him well qualified to lead this program. He <br />has a proven track record of outstanding service to clients ranging from government municipalities <br />to big-box retail outlets. As previously noted, Josh can call on the full resources of the firm to <br />support the City of Sunny Isles Beach on this project. <br />Kevin Schanen, P.E. | Principal-in-Charge <br />Kevin has 21 years of diverse engineering, program management, and undergrounding of utilities <br />project management experience. Kevin has served as project manager on a number of utility <br />engineering infrastructure projects that have included stormwater and sanitary pump stations, <br />water and wastewater treatment facilities, water mains, force mains, storm sewers, structural <br />rehabilitations, recreational facilities, contamination assessment and remediation, and roadway <br />design. For the Town of West Palm Beach, Kevin is serving as project manager involved with <br />program management and undergrounding of utilities for: Underground Palm Beach; Worth <br />Avenue Restoration; Town Hall Square Streetscape and Infrastructure Improvements; and the <br />Nightingale Trail/La Puerta Way Underground Utilities Conversion Project. <br />Barton Fye, P.E. | Utility Undergrounding/Design/Construction <br />Administration <br />Barton is a Miami-area native with 12 years of diverse municipal engineering and project <br />management experience. He is a Florida-licensed Professional Engineer and an ASFPM Certified <br />Floodplain Manager. Barton has successfully led numerous projects for municipal clients that <br />include stormwater, water and sewer master planning, utility design and coordination, water main, <br />force main, storm sewer, and roadway design. Barton’s engineering background is heavily focused <br />on successful expansion, upgrade, and conversion of utilities—work he is passionate about. <br />Brett Johnson, P.E. | Utility Undergrounding/Design/Construction <br />Administration <br />Brett has more than 12 years of civil engineering experience in South Florida. Prior to joining <br />Kimley-Horn, he worked for the Village of Royal Palm Beach as a project engineer. The focus of <br />that experience was the Village’s Capital Improvement Program. Brett oversaw projects throughout <br />the entire project life cycle—from conceptualization and funding acquisition, to design and <br />document preparation, and finally through bidding and construction management. The projects <br />that he was responsible for ranged from small streetscape projects to the development of a multi- <br />million-dollar regional park. Since joining Kimley-Horn, Brett has had the opportunity to expand his <br />abilities into the areas of concrete inspection and restoration as well as utility design. He has worked on several projects for <br />the Town of Palm Beach, including serving in a prominent role on the Town’s Undergrounding of Utilities project.
