<br />Project analyst. Kimley-Horn provided master planning services for the Town of Cutler Bay to assess the condition and provide
<br />improvement recommendations for eight Town parks. The team held public meetings with citizens, Town staff, and public
<br />officials for input. The master plan included a physical inventory and site assessment of the existing parks and park system and
<br />made proposed recommendations.

<br />Assisted with landscape planning for the Kimley-Horn team who prepared the conceptual plan of a 22-acre park located on the
<br />south west corner of NW 97th Avenue and the future NW 77th Terrace in Doral, Florida. The park contains both active and
<br />passive recreational activities which are arranged around a large proposed lake wi th recreated wetlands and a 6,000-square-
<br />foot multi-purpose building and Nature Center with a large viewing terrace. All of the active sports such as multi -use fields,
<br />tennis courts, basketball courts, and playground are located towards the western portion of the park while the passive activities
<br />such as the kayak launch, walking/exercise trails, picnic shelters, wetland boardwalk, fishing pier, and educational boardwal k
<br />are located towards the eastern portion of the site surrounding the lake. Support facil ities such as a maintenance building, on-
<br />street parking, and surface parking lot are also part of the plan.

<br />Landscape analyst. Kimley-Horn prepared the conceptual plan and construction documents for a two-acre park across from the
<br />recently completed City Hall in Downtown Doral. The concept for the park was based on “offering a quiet respite amidst the
<br />urban context in order to connect your mind, body, and spirit and discover about yourself, about your community, and about
<br />your place in the world.” Park amenities included a labyrinth, sunken garden, yoga/tai -chi lawn, contemplative pond, tree
<br />bosque, reading rooms/seating circles, scent garden water features, plazas, and passive trails.

<br />Landscape analyst for Kimley-Horn’s design services under a continuing services contract. Kimley-Horn is providing landscape
<br />architecture design, planning, traffic engineering, and civil engineering services for the revitalization of the existing str eetscape
<br />in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. The goal is to create a pedestrian -friendly environment by adding walk/bike lanes and creating
<br />separation between traffic and pedestrian spaces—this includes adjusting lane lengths and altering bus lanes. Kimley-Horn is
<br />coordinating with various stakeholders (Broward County, Broward County Transportation, Sun Trolley, Brightline Rail) and
<br />preparing workshop-style presentations for several streetscape options. Our team recently completed 30% plans for the proj ect,
<br />with 60% plans expected this month (August 2018).

<br />Landscape analyst. Kimley-Horn is developing the planting and irrigation designs for existing US 1 medians between SW 136th
<br />and SW 184th Street consisting of 24 medians spanning 6 miles. The planting design incorporates new trees, palms, shrubs,
<br />and groundcovers into the medians following FDOT design standards. The planting and irrigation contract documents were
<br />presented to FDOT for right-of-way landscape permits. The scope includes conceptual design, planting and irrigation design,
<br />and permit processing assistance.
