The remediation <br />activities were integrated into the site overall development plan to reduce cleanup costs by millions of dollars while allowi ng for <br />the full development of the property. The site received an SRCO in 2006. In addition, Kimley-Horn designed all public <br />infrastructure, including roadways and utilities, and has provided traffic, landscape architecture, and urban planning servic es for <br />Midtown Miami. This project is an example of the turnkey type of brownfield redevelopment services Kimley-Horn offers, and we <br />are very proud of the fact that Midtown Miami was the recipient of the EPA Region 4 2009 Phoenix Award, the nation’s most <br />prestigious award for brownfield redevelopment. <br />b. <br />(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) <br />Florida Keys Electrical Cooperative Pole Yard <br />Marathon <br />(2) YEAR COMPLETED <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />2009 <br />CONSTRUCTION (If applicable) <br /> <br />(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE [X] Check if project performed with current firm <br />Project manager for the assessment and remediation of this arsenic -contaminated site. This included an evaluation of <br />background concentrations of arsenic, off-site levels of arsenic in soil, and an analysis of tidal effects on the groundwater <br />contaminant plume. The site assessment report (SAR) for this site was approved without comments and a remedial action plan <br />(RAP) was put in place. As a part of the RAP, Kimley-Horn successfully convinced the FDEP that soil could be managed on-site <br />and that, through the use of engineering and institutional controls, both soil and groundwater arsenic impacts could be <br />addressed. Kimley-Horn is currently providing full design services for Baker Park on the Gordon River in Naples. Design <br />components include a large multi-purpose concession building, playground with integrated splash pad, Founder’s Garden, day <br />dock, canoe/kayak launch, knoll/overlook, stormwater treatment marsh, small amphitheater a rea, sunrise terrace, waterfront <br />boardwalks, and a ½ mile trail connecting to the Gordon River Greenway bridge. Review consisted of evaluation of cover material, Lon term contaminant trends, groundwater flow. This project involved the new construction of approximately one mile of four -lane, divided <br />urban roadway from east of Forest City Road to Keller Road. It also included construction of a new two -lane, urban roadway <br />and widening for auxiliary lanes along Maitland Boulevard and Keller Road. The disciplines involved in this project included <br />roadway, drainage, floodplain, utilities, traffic control, signing/pavement marking, environmental, signalization, structural, <br />landscaping, permitting and right-of-way-mapping. This project was permitted through Seminole County, SJRWMD, USACE, <br />FDEP, FEMA, FDOT, and the City of Maitland. <br /> STANDARD FORM 330 (REV. 8/2016) PAGE 2 <br />
