Located at the core of the City’s financial district, Brickell City Centre is a nine-acre mixed-use development— <br />and one of the largest active projects in the City of Miami today. The site comprises approximately three city blocks. At <br />completion, this $1.05 billion project will include 2.9 million square feet of retail, office, residential, and entertainment space. <br />The parking demand for this proposed development will be satisfied by the construction of a two -level subterranean parking <br />garage, which will extend beneath the right-of-way for full connectivity between the three blocks. This LEED Neighborhood <br />Certified project will also include sustainable elements such as a climate ribbon, green roofs, and cisterns for irrigation u se. As <br />the engineer of record, Kimley-Horn is providing an array of civil engineering, transportation planning, and traffic engineering <br />services. Kimley-Horn team performed the condition assessment and restoration of four parking garages serving the <br />mall. The four parking structures were evaluated and assigned prioritized repairs associated with an order of magnitude cost. <br />The parking structures consist of various construction types including cast-in-place and precast. Restoration scope included <br />concrete repairs, waterproofing repairs, and perimeter barrier upgrades. As prime consultant, Kimley-Horn provided North Bay Village with landscape architecture and civil <br />engineering services for the site improvements to separate plaza areas and connector boardwalk under the east bridge along <br />JFK Causeway. Services include the design of landscape architectural components including hardscape, landscape, site <br />furniture, site lighting and irrigation from concept through construction. Kimley-Horn provided civil engineering, parking consultation and parking garage structural engineering, and <br />landscape architecture services for the Phase II Megastron office complex. The project consisted of a four-story, 97,500- <br />square-foot office building supported by a six-level, 1,200-space parking garage. The parking garage was designed for efficient <br />flow to serve the office building employees. Compact parking spaces were considered to provide additional parking based on <br />the increased parking demand required by the proposed office tenant.
