City of Sunny Isles Beach RFQ No. 18-08-01 | Consulting Engineering Services for Golden Shores Utility Undergrounding and Roadway Improvements (CCNA)
Traffic Control/Maintenance of Traffic during construction of the improvements is a critical scheduling and design component. Coordination with the City for local event schedules, high volume pedestrian routes and times, and emergency service providers as well as continued communication with the residents will allow for a smoother construction period. CGA has staff with Advanced Work Zone Traffic Control certifications as required by Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to prepare the MOT plan. CGA staff will ensure the City staff have reviewed and approved the MOT plan as well as any construction phasing requirements in the bid documents, and will assist the City and/or contractor with the public notifications.
Lighting
The Electrical Engineering Division performs services as the prime/project manager and where the division is a member of a design team, such as this contract. CGA has completed lighting projects for roadway corridors, private parking lots, neighborhoods, pathways, and parks. The lighting upgrades for this project will require moving all light poles from the rear yards to the street-side front yard, running new electrical conduit, and review of any information or staff history noting problem areas that need extra attending. The City has stated that the proposed lighting will be decorative to match the surrounding neighborhoods. The new lighting system will require coordination with the UAO’s to share trenches with street lighting and coordinate service locations. CGA has experience coordinating with FPL for services points, upgrades, such as relocating overhead lines to underground, or relocations of light poles, where necessary.
BEFORE AFTER
BEFORE AFTER
11
