City of Sunny Isles Beach RFQ No. 18-08-01 | Consulting Engineering Services for Golden Shores Utility Undergrounding and Roadway Improvements (CCNA)
Sage Beach (sub-consultant to Property Markets Group)1441 Brickell Avenue, Suite 1510Miami, FL 33131
Aaron Sinnes, Construction DirectorTel: 305.917.1070Fax: N/AE-Mail: ASinnes@propertymg.com
Project Title: Sage Beach - Offsite Roadway ImprovementsLocation: Hollywood, FL
Description of Work:CGA was retained by PMG Driftwood LLC to provide civil site planning, permitting, and preparation of Construction Documents for two new residential towers located on Iris Terrace, east of SR A1A in Hollywood, FL. The project consisted of civil site as well as the offsite improvement within City R/W and CRA jurisdiction on Iris Terrace, South Surf Road and Jasmine Terrance. The roadway was regraded in order to tie into the new, higher finish floor elevations required. New sidewalk, landscaping, lighting, underground utilities and drainage were included in the complete roadway reconstruction of the adjacent streets. CGA provided the “utility layout” sheet which incorporated the design from each of the utility providers and put them on one plan sheet with the other roadway, drainage, water and sewer improvements shown in order to verify horizontal and vertical clearances as well as fit the required equipment within the right-of-way.
A Surface Water Management License for the new facilities was obtained from Broward County Environmental Resources and Growth Management Department for the work within the City’s R/W requiring approximately 250 LF of exfiltration trench under the roadway. Two FDOT permits were also required to complete the streetscape improvements where Iris Terrace intersects SR A1A. An FDEP drainage well permit was obtained in order to install two drainage wells, one for each of the two buildings. The services provided were completed in a timely manner and under budget. The project is currently in the final stages of construction.
Year Completed: Ongoing
Proposed Team Member's ExperienceCurt A.
