City of Sunny Isles Beach RFQ No. 18-08-01 | Consulting Engineering Services for Golden Shores Utility Undergrounding and Roadway Improvements (CCNA) <br />CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION <br />Robert McSweeney, PEMr. McSweeney has more than 27 years of local experience in South Florida including permitting, design, project management, and construction administration. He is the Director of Construction Engineering and has extensive experience with civil and environmental engineering services providing service to both public and private sector clients in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. His experience also involves FDOT utility coordination and construction administration as well as design/consulting for the U.S. Air Force. Mr. McSweeney performs the constructability review during design and leads the construction administration services, coordinating construction activities and representing the City during construction to ensure compliance with the plans and specifications. Mr. McSweeney assisted the City during construction of the North Bay Bridge Emergency Pedestrian Bridge project, which required extensive coordination with utilities and construction oversight. <br />Bruce BernardMr. Bernard has more than 44 years of construction management experience. After graduating from Broward Community College, he pursued a career in the utility industry. Mr. Bernard held multiple positions, including the Public Works Director for the Town of Davie prior to joining the CGA team. He was then appointed the position of Field Services Manager at CGA. Throughout his career, Mr. Bernard has managed hundreds of millions of dollars in construction for federal, state, local, and private clients. <br />SURVEYING <br />Steve Watts, PSMMr. Watts has 33 years of experience as a surveyor and mapper. Having spent his entire surveying career working in Broward County, he is extremely knowledgeable of the rules, requirements and specifications for completing surveying and mapping projects in the South Florida area. He specializes in architectural and engineering design type surveys, land acquisition, easements, title research, and computer mapping. Mr. Watts will perform specific purpose survey, hydrographic and topographic survey as needed for the proposed project. <br />Pablo DominguezMr. Dominguez has 18 years of experience as a Surveyor and Mapper. Having spent his entire Surveying career working in South Florida, he is extremely knowledgeable of the rules, requirements and specifications for completing Surveying and Mapping projects in the South Florida area. He specializes in Digital Terrain Mapping (DTM) type surveys, design surveys, Right of Way surveys, hydrographic surveys, 3D laser scanning surveys as well as construction stake out projects, land acquisition and computer mapping. <br />PUBLIC INFORMATION OUTREACH <br />Silvia Vargas, AICP, LEED APMs. Vargas is a professional planner with 25 years of experience. After starting her career as a development review planner in the public sector, Ms. Vargas went on to direct dozens of planning processes that resulted in the creation of innovative plans and implementation tools throughout the U.S. and abroad. Mrs. Vargas' experience encompasses region-wide, county and City comprehensive plans, as well as numerous plans at the system, downtown, district, corridor, neighborhood, and site scales. She has also provided consulting services to several municipalities, including helping set up a new planning department from the ground up. <br />Ms. Vargas' work has been recognized through numerous awards and speaking opportunities. She is skilled and creative facilitator who specializes in designing creative public engagement tools. Her background and experience gives her great sensitivity to the challenges of collaborating with diverse stakeholders in the planning process. <br />20
