(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) (2) YEAR COMPLETED <br />Miami Internat i onal Airpo rt North Termi nal Developm ent PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION (If applicable) <br />2000-2014 <br />(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm <br />Senior Program Construction Miami International Airport and American Airlines together developed one of the major 20 century airport <br />construction project. The North Terminal Development Program consist of a facility of 48 new aircraft gates, 3.2 million square feet of <br />construction, 1.3 miles long and a $3.9 billion dollars budget. The North Terminal Program is a multi-phase construction program segregated <br />into 56 projects. Reporting directly to the North Terminal Program Director. Responsible for Senior Project and Design Managers to ensure <br />they maintain projects within Budget, Schedules, coordination of all Design / Construction Quality Control, Safety Programs and report any <br />unanticipated chances in scope of work that potentially alter the critical path of the overall program activities. Directly responsible for the <br />Managing General Contractor contracts and timely payments for completed work. Organizer of a Dispute Resolution Committee solely <br />responsibility is to resolve any project issues which could not be accomplished at the project team level. <br />Senior Project Manager Responsible for the AB Infill Building Shell and Finish Project, which is the largest portion of the North Terminal <br />Development Program. This $400 million-dollar project consists of an expansion building shell approximately 280,000 square feet and <br />interior finishes. The upgrade provided four new aircraft gates, two automated people mover stations, two TSA security checkpoints and <br />baggage handling system. Mr. Cano ensured the project was within budget, scheduled and managed General Contractor work together <br />with the Design Professional in resolving construction / design issues. Supervised Contractual Agreements among all the parties, negotiated <br />change orders and service orders respectively with the Managing General Contractor and Design Professionals. Assisted the Design <br />Professional to achieve design constructible solutions. Finally, supervised a staff consisting of Site Manager, Design Manager, Design <br />Professionals field personnel, Cost Engineer and Scheduler to insure their Professional quality. <br />b. Report any chances to the contract scope of work that could potentially <br />alter the critical path of the project activities.
