BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br /> <br />The Nautilus Neighborhood includes all of the area <br />from Surprise Lake to the south end of the 41st Street <br />right-of-way, and from Biscayne Bay east to the Indian <br />Creek waterway, inclusive of the Orchard Park sub- <br />neighbor- hood. The area is generally comprised of <br />single-family residential streets with some pockets of <br />multi-family uses. Major institutional uses include <br />Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Heart Institute, <br />Nautilus Middle School, and North Beach Elementary <br />School. <br />Arthur Godfrey Road (41st Street), a State roadway, is <br />a major commercial corridor to the southern border of <br />this neighborhood. Alton Road is a state minor arterial <br />on the west side. The improvements to the stormwater system were limited to the three priority drainage basins (92, 97 <br />& 99) identified in the City of Miami Beach Stormwater Management Master Plan for the Nautilus Neighborhood. <br />Project included milling and resurfacing, new drainage, including six (6) stormwater pump stations, injection and gravity <br />wells, new water main system betterment, decorative lighting, signing and pavement marking, landscape and irrigation <br />upgrades, and intersection bump-outs. <br /> <br />25.
