City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />December 10, 2018 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />Firm's Current Workload <br />CAS is currently reaching completion on many projects and is available to accept new projects. Please refer to the <br />project list showing workload with percentage of completion in Section E.4 Workload and Availability. The CAS <br />Management Team will assign responsibilities to survey crews, utility locating crews, staff engineers, subconsultants <br />and construction management and supporting staff as needed. All staff members involved in the project will be provided <br />with the proper, resources, equipment and tools to perform the assign work. CAS ensures that it maintains adequate <br />staff to perform the work assigned and is able to increase staff as needed, due to its experience and reputation in the <br />industry. The CAS TEAM is ready to allocate the necessary staff and resources and to work with the city in <br />accomplishing its goals as per contract requirements. <br />Continuity of Staff <br />Our internal company culture has created an environment for staff to excel and experience satisfaction. CAS is proud to <br />state that the current average employee tenure is over 12 years. The City of Sunny Isles will have the advantage of <br />knowing that our assigned staff will be there throughout the duration of this project and beyond to offer continued <br />knowledge as well as experience to serve the City's interests. Most Key CAS staff proposed for this project have served <br />the city for the last 5 years. <br />The CAS Team <br />Mr. James R. Orth, P.E., Vice President of Engineering shall be the Production Team Leader for the duration of the <br />contract. Mr. Orth can be reached at (561)-307-6395 or via email at In addition to our CAS staff, <br />the following four (4) sub -consultants will provide the additional professional disciplines and support which may be <br />necessary in the scope of work. The sub -consultants are as follows: Radise International, LLC. for geotechnical and <br />material testing, Bailey Engineering Consultants, Inc. for electrical engineering services, Tessier Consulting, LLC. <br />for HydrogeologiclHydro-Environmental Services and MUEngineers, Inc. for structural engineering services. CAS is a <br />full-service engineering firm and shall provide most major services "in-house' such as, overall project coordination, <br />survey, utility locating, engineering design, cost estimating, permitting, bidding assistance, construction management, <br />stormwater modeling (hydraulic analysis), etc., thus allowing for a more cost-effective and efficient streamlined <br />engineering process. In addition, CAS always strives to provide "value-added" services to clients. The CAS Team is <br />composed of quality local South Florida firms with CAS, Bailey Engineering Consultants, Inc. and Radise International, <br />LLC. retaining previous project experience in Miami -Dade County and first-hand knowledge of regulatory requirements. <br />Principal CAS Staff <br />Mr. Gene Shriner, P.E., President and Mr. Stephen Smith, P.E., Senior Vice President are the Principals of the firm <br />and are authorized to make representations for the firm. Mr. Smith will serve as the Contract Director/Project Manager <br />and Mr. Schriner will serve as the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Officer.
