CALL TO ORDER/ ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS <br /> The meeting was called to order by Vice Mayor Aelion at 5:00 p.m. with the following <br /> officials present: <br /> Mayor Norman S. Edelcup (Absent-out of town) City Manager Christopher J. Russo <br /> Vice Mayor Isaac Aelion City Attorney Hans Ottinot <br /> Commissioner Jeanette Gatto City Clerk Jane A. Hines, MMC <br /> Commissioner Jennifer Levin Deputy City Manager Stan Morris <br /> Commissioner George "Bud" Scholl Deputy City Attorney Fernando Amuchastegui <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> Action: Assistant City Manager Bill Evans led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> Vice Mayor Aelion gave opening remarks noting that Mayor Edelcup is out of town. <br /> 3. RESOLUTIONS <br /> 3A. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida,Approving <br /> an Agreement with GraphPlex Signs to Fabricate and Install Four (4) One-of-a-Kind <br /> Monument Signs to be Located at the Intracoastal Parks, in an Amount Not to Exceed <br /> $30,740.00, Attached Hereto as Exhibit"A"; Authorizing Waiver of Competitive Bidding <br /> Procedures; Authorizing the Mayor to Execute Said Agreement; Authorizing the City <br /> Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an <br /> Effective Date. <br /> Action: City Clerk Hines read the title. City Manager Russo and Assistant City Manager Bill <br /> Evans reported and noted a correction on pages 1 and 3 of the Agreement. The date was <br /> revised from March 17 to March 15. 2014. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Vice Mayor Aelion asked if the monument signs are in line with the other monument signs in <br /> the City,and City Manager Russo said yes. Commissioner Levin said she is assuming when <br /> we first started to get these signs from the Contractor that there was a competitive bidding <br /> process, and City Attorney Ottinot said that is correct. <br /> Commissioner Scholl moved and Commissioner Gatto seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution,as amended with the revised date. Resolution No.2014-2208 was adopted by <br /> a voice vote of 4-0-1 (Mayor Edelcup absent) in favor. <br />
