<br />Town of Golden Beach Capital Improvements', Golden
<br />Beach, Florida
<br />Senior Engineer for this comprehensive Capital Improvements
<br />Program Master Plan which focuses on several major
<br />improvement areas' town -wide drainage improvements; utilities
<br />underground relocation (electrical, telephone, cable); town -wide
<br />streetscope & traffic calming; and renovation to the Town's
<br />existing Town Hall building. The Master Plan carefully
<br />considered the each of these with respect to feasibility,
<br />cost /benebt, and design, as well as on analysis of funding
<br />options and scenarios, and schedule for phasing and
<br />implementation.
<br />Plantation Midtown Improvements and Greenway Transit
<br />Route', Plantation, Florida
<br />Senior Engineer for the master plan, engineering design, and
<br />construction administration of this project that consisted of
<br />revitalizing the entire central business district of the City and
<br />creating a mixed use area conducive to pedestrian friendly use
<br />and access. The project included the reconstruction of 2.5 miles
<br />of mixed use walkways, textured crosswalks, parallel parking,
<br />landscaped medians, and a roundabout at a key intersection of
<br />the City. The firm' design will be the template for all
<br />improvements to follow in the City's midtown area. We have
<br />worked with the City in designing the route that the first phase
<br />of the bus transit will operate as well as helped them research
<br />the different type of transit vehicles available to them. In
<br />working hand in hand with the City on this issue, we are
<br />ensuring that the design we deliver meets the needs and
<br />expectations for the entire scope of their greenwoy project.
<br />Caribbean Blvd. (Coral Sea Rd. to SW 87Ave.)', Cutler
<br />Bay, Florida
<br />Project Manager of design improvements for the portion of
<br />Caribbean Blvd. between Coral Sea Road and SW 87th
<br />Avenue. The project consists of roadway improvements, two (2)
<br />traffic circles, pavement reconstruction, curbwork, sidewalks,
<br />drainage facilifies, medians, turn lanes, landscaping and
<br />roadway lighting. This portion of Caribbean Blvd. is primarily a
<br />residential road. This Miami -Dade County roadway is
<br />considered a collector roadway. The proposed configuration for
<br />Caribbean Blvd. will include roundabouts at Gulf Stream Rd.
<br />and SW 192 Dr. for troffic calming and beautification. The
<br />corridor will be a two lane roadway with turn krnes, landscape
<br />medians and traffic calming splitter islands where plausible.
<br />Permitting including Miami -Lode County Public Works, DERM
<br />and Town of Cutler Bay.
<br />Miracle Mile Redevelopment Streetscope', Coral
<br />Gables, Florida
<br />Civil Engineer for the redevelopment of Miracle Mile. This
<br />proposed project will help transform the Coral Gables
<br />Downtown area into a vibrant epicenter of the local community.
<br />Some of the enhancements include wider sidewalks with more
<br />open public space to attract foot traffic, improved urban
<br />lighting, tree grates, benches, kiosks, signage, throughways to
<br />garages, and upgraded drainage facilities. In creating a more
<br />vibrant atmosphere for locals, this Streetscope Project will
<br />inherently serve to attract a larger share of Greater Miami's
<br />visitors, including the economic impact they generate, to
<br />Downtown Coral Gables.
<br />Sunset Drive Improvements', South Miami, Florida
<br />Project Engineer for the development of roadway plans
<br />including drainage, utility coordination, pavement markings and
<br />lighting. Coordination of permitting requirements on behalf of
<br />the client. Responsible for transmittals, shop drawing reviews,
<br />preliminary cost estimates and construction plan clarifications.
