Principal -in- Charge LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS: 1979 - Architecture Florida ( #8079) Certified Construction Specifier 2009 - LEED Accredited Professional Mr. Piersol has over 30 years of experience in the planning, design and construction of major public buildings, including aviation and transportation related facilities, banks, restaurants and renovations and historic restorations. Mr. Piersol has also been responsible for numerous studies, consultation reports, construction cost estimates and specifications. Mr. Piersol has served public agencies throughout South Florida including City of Miami Beach, City of Miami, City of South Miami, City of Coral Gables, City of Hollywood, Broward County Public Works, Dade County G.S.A., the Miami International Airport, the 11th District Circuit Courts, United States Information Agency and Key West Naval Air Station. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Village of Palmetto Bay Principal -in- Charge The Village of Palmetto Bay hired M.C. Harry & Associates to develop a conceptual design for a new 10,000sf Village Hall Complex located on a 2.4 acre site. The Village envisions a civic center with distinct character that will serve as the anchor for future development and redevelopment in their emerging downtown central business district. The project will incorporate elements that encourage pedestrian activity, allows for efficient land utilization, facilitates both pedestrian and vehicular circulation. Miami International Airport, Terminal Wide People Mover System Principal -in- Charge ' The Terminal Wide People Mover System (TWPMS) connects the Flamingo and Dolphin Parking Garage System with Miami International Airport's north, central, and south terminals and their light rail link to the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC). The system is comprised of a series of major and minor bridge elements spanning over a variety of landside roadways. The bridges are typically enclosed and air conditioned. The 110' long span bridges include moving sidewalks to facilitate efficient pedestrian movement. Integral with this passenger conveyance system are several vertical circulation cores within the terminal. These core circulation elements enhance passenger movement to baggage claim areas on terminal level one, ticketing on terminal level 2, and the terminal level three TWPMS. City of South Miami, US -1 Pedestrian Bridge Principal -in- Charge The City of South Miami commissioned MC Harry Associates to develop a conceptual design for a pedestrian overpass linking the South Miami Metrorail Station with the City's vibrant downtown business district. The pedestrian bridge would improve safety by eliminating the need for Metrorail passengers to cross US -1 at street level. The Overpass features elevators, stairs, landscaping and architectural features that create a gateway to the South Miami Community.
