<br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH |INVITATION TO BID NO. 19-08-01 17 <br /> <br />Section 3 <br />Scope of Services / Technical Specifications <br /> <br /> <br />3.1 PURPOSE <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach (the “City”) desires to establish a contract with a licensed <br />(“Contractor”) to provide all labor, equipment and materials to inspect and clean <br />approximately fifty (50) deep drainage wells structures, approximately three hundred an d <br />ninety (390) stormwater catch basins, 170 stormwater manholes and clean <br />approximately forty two thousand (42,000) linear feet of pipe. Such activities will take <br />place within the City limits. The disposal of the debris shall be at the responsibility of th e <br />Contractor. <br /> <br />3.2 GENERAL CONDITIONS OF WORK <br /> <br />If property (public or private) is damaged performing work specified or is removed for <br />the convenience of the work, it shall be repaired or replaced at the expense of the <br />Proposer in a manner acceptable to the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Such property shall <br />include but not limited to: roads, sidewalks, curbs, driveways, walls, fences, water <br />features, footings, underground utilities, sod, shrubs, trees, etc. <br /> <br /> Proposer shall notify the Public Works Department in writing of the site having <br />pre-existing damage to sidewalks, pavers, curbs, roadways, swales, adjacent <br />improvements, etc., before beginning work. Failure to do so shall obligate the <br />PROPOSER to make repairs per section 3.2 <br /> <br />3.3 TRAFFIC CONTROL <br /> <br />Conduct maintenance to ensure minimum interference with traffic, facility, road, street, <br />walks, and other adjacent occupied or used facilities. Two-way traffic flow shall be <br />maintained at all times unless prior approval from the City is obtained. Proposer shall <br />provide maintenance/movement of traffic around job site. <br /> <br />3.4 PROTECTION <br /> <br />Bidder shall be solely responsible for pedestrian and vehicular safety and control within <br />the work site and shall provide the necessary warning devices, barricades, cones properly <br />placed and ground personnel needed to give safety, protection and warning to persons <br />and vehicular traffic within the area. <br /> <br /> Bidder must provide protection necessary to prevent damage to property where <br />maintenance is being performed and/or damage to adjoining properties. <br /> <br /> Restore any damage to property to its original condition, at Proposer’s expense, <br />as acceptable to the City of Sunny Isles Beach.
