Section33 <br />Scoope of Servicces / Technical Specificcations <br />3.0PPROJECT INFFORMATIONN AND RESPPONSE REQUUIREMENTS <br />The City of Sunnny Isles Beaach, hereinafteer referred too as the CITY,, is seeking proposals fromm <br />quualified firms,, hereinafter rreferred to ass the Contracttor, to providee an Automattic License Plaate <br />RRecognition (AALPR) System for the City’ss Police Deparrtment, in acccordance withh the terms, <br />coonditions and specifications contained inn this Requesst for Proposaal (RFP). <br />3.1OOVERVIEW <br />Suunny Isles Beeach is uniqueely configuredd to enable thhe ALPR Geo-Fencing of the City and proovide <br />coonsequent ennhanced securrity for the reesidents by coontinuously monitoring the vehicles enteering, <br />leeaving and traaversing the CCity. It is propposed that prppoints into thee City be enabbled <br />imary entry <br />wwith ALPR systtems. <br />The distributedd ALPR systemms will be connnected to a ccentral managgement serveer that will actt as <br />thhe primary intterface point for the City. TThe server auutomaticallyppushes updatees to the rem <br />ote <br />unnits and receiives “read infformation” and allows the CCity to have aa single point from which tto <br />mmonitor the acctivity and perrform investiggations. This ssolution will pprovide Sunnyy Isles Beach with <br />asimple meanns of improvin the safety aand security wwithin the Citty. <br />RRoadside Systeems: As Floridda requires onnly rear plates on the vehicles, the fixedd systems muust be <br />coonfigured to ““view the rear of the vehiccles”. Each lanne of traffic wwill require a ccamera systemm. <br />The camera syystem(s) conssist of cameraas (infrared caamera for reading the platees and a color <br />caamera to provvide a referennce overview of the vehiclee) and a roadside processoor (CPU in an <br />ennvironmentalenclosure). <br />The City of Sunnny Isles is innterested in mmonitoring vehhicular ingresss and egressactivity throuugh <br />thhe automatic reading of liccense plates (AALPR). Theree are approximmately elevenn (11) primaryy <br />loocations that wwill need to bbe monitored to capture alll inbound andd outbound trraffic.
