<br />the implementation of Express Lanes. The existing six-lane divided limited access facility will be widened to accommodate two express lanes
<br />and provide auxiliary lanes between the interchanges. A tolling point will be provided within this section and a Single Point Urban Interchange
<br />(SPUI) will be provided at NW 67 Ave. The project requires extensive coordination with the adjacent projects, FTE, City of Miami Lakes and
<br />Miami-Dade County. The project is the second segment (Segment 2) of six segments that extends the Express Lanes from I-75 to the I-
<br />95/Golden Glades Interchange.

<br />220-foot swing-span bridge. Project consists of 678 feet of new bridge including a 250-foot deck girder swing span and approach spans utilizing
<br />Florida I-Beams. Embankments are supported by MSE walls and protected by new bulkheads and revetment. In addition to the bridge structures
<br />and new pile support tender house is part of the scope. Responsible for development of the preliminary roadway geometrics and proposed
<br />drainage design.

<br />Lead roadway engineer responsible for TTCP and the geometrical realignment (both horizontal and vertical) of the approach roadway segments
<br />associated with the replacement of the nationally registered historic SW 1st St Bridge crossing the Miami River. Constructed in 1929, the
<br />existing 650.5-foot, 13-span bridge is the gateway crossing into downtown Miami. The new 507-foot bridge will include a 315-foot double-leaf
<br />bascule span over a widened 125-foot navigation channel. Two new approach spans will consist of prestressed concrete beams providing at
<br />least 16.5 feet of clearance over North and South River Drives. Bascule span roadway deck will be an exodermic concrete deck providing
<br />protection of the steel superstructure and a safer/quieter riding surface. The existing roadway at both ends of the bridge will be raised by several
<br />feet in order to accommodate the new bridge, requiring major reconstruction and a complex TTCP detour.

<br />existing at-grade roadway with 2 elevated bridges to restore the natural flow of water within the Everglades basin. This Design-Build project
<br />required extensive coordination with National Parks Service and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection as well as local businesses
<br />and residents.
