The assignments included the verification of provided control and the survey <br />location of over 1,500 VVHs and additional designated lines. This contract involved coordinating Surveying and SUE work in a very intense design environment to <br />comply with the construction schedule. Mr. Marti was responsible for organizing the field groups and providing guidance and technical support on this complex project <br />that involved performing VVHs in a highly complex situation, while maintaining traffic and ensuring the quality of and accuracy of the work. <br />b. FRA provided all the necessary services to designate, locate by excavating, survey, and map the existing surface <br />and subsurface utilities to support the design of construction plans on projects selected by the Department. FRA provided exact horizontal and vertical locations of <br />the existing underground utilities by way of electromagnetic and other geophysical location techniques including vacuum excavation. FRA facilitated a quick response <br />to the Department when ordering subsurface exploration services. The client benefits by receiving SUE data which enables them to identify, address and remedy <br />potential utility conflicts during the project’s design phase. The project length is 1,500 miles. Mr. <br />Marti conducted all the Survey control and the 3D laser scanning for all four bridges within this project. FRA used the in-house 3D high definition laser scanner to <br />obtain bridge information including beams, columns, etc. FRA performed the survey of a total of four bridges in the area. The survey included a very detailed DTM of <br />the upper deck and location beams, foundations, columns etc. FRA was part of the AECOM Team. <br />d. Services <br />included topographic survey, underground utility survey, and SUE related work. Mr. Marti served as Lead SUE Technician project providing designation of the <br />underground utilities. <br />e.
