<br />This project involved FRA locating and documenting reliable power sources that were a critical part of the overall I-595 project. Electrical design included providing
<br />detailed power service locations within the project limits for Reversible Express Lanes Access Control subsystem, a CCTV came ra subsystem, a DMS subsystem,
<br />changeable message sign (CMS) subsystem, a HAR subsystem, a microwave vehicle det ection station (MVDS) subsystem and three communication hubs. The
<br />electrical design services also included the toll building and toll gantry electrical systems. Mr. Sanchez coordinated all se rvice points with FPL representatives,
<br />coordinated all changes in location due to relocation by FPL, and provided utility coordination for power service points required. To enhance power reli ability, FRA
<br />designed a power distribution and backup system consisting of underground electrical conductor circuits to all ITS de vices, transformers, generators, automatic transfer
<br />switches, and UPS included as part of the scope of work. Mr. Sanchez coordinated all locations for the back-up power equipment, provided all utility coordination for
<br />back-up equipment sites, and assisted FRA designers with back-up equipment power requirements.

<br />The primary objective of this task was to provide construction plans for maintenance of the existing Broward County ITS fiber optic cable during const ruction of the I-
<br />595 Improvement Project from University Drive to I-95. A majority of the existing Broward County ITS fiber optic cable would have been affected by the proposed
<br />construction FRA developed ITS plans that allowed for construction of the main permanent conduit trunk-line, temporary cross-over conduit, and temporary splice
<br />vaults as part of the MOT Phase I construction of Zones 6 and 7 from University Drive to east of SR 7. Mr. Sanchez provided utility coordination through extensive
<br />field investigation and assisted in the development of BFO Relocation Plans. ITS plans were developed to incorporate all cons truction phasing until the permanent
<br />ITS fiber optic network was completed.

<br />The FRA team of Utility Coordinators served the District on four roadway contracts. These assignments required Mr. Sanchez to work with various utilities on different
<br />projects from Broward to Brevard County. He also reviewed plans for the District using information collected during field vis its and meetings with pertinent utilities. The
<br />goal was to ensure all potential conflicts were located/resolved and the final plans reflected the identified information properly, before the start of construction
