The Miller <br />Legg Team received recognition from the City for their involvement in the design completion. Enhancement of the pedestrian corridor and integration w ith the existing Roberto Burle Marx paving design, <br />directly to the south, was integral in the design of the project. Miller Legg coordinated with the City of Miami during the design process, participated in numerous public involvement <br />and design meetings, and incorporated access management concepts, including limited vehicular access and multi-modal transportation. Improvements included specialty paving, lighting, <br />irrigation and planting elements. The initial phase of work includes disposition of over 2000 trees and palms, including, <br />relocation, permitting and coordination with the City of Miami, Miami Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) and the FDOT.
