<br />Principal-In-Charge: Miller Legg and its Certified Arborists conducted a comprehensive tree and dune vegetation inventory on a section of South Be ach east of the pedestrian walk from
<br />3rd to 5th Streets. All 300 tree species found within the area were inventoried as point locations with associated attributes and all dominant shrub and ground cover species were
<br />collected as polygon data with associated percent coverage and species data. The information was then displayed on a digital map and the data was provided to the client in .shp file
<br />format. Miller Legg was a subconsultant to Coastal Systems International.

<br />Principal-in-Charge: Miller Legg assisted a landscape architectural firm EDAW (as a sub) with the processing of a CCCL (Coastal Construction Contr ol Line) Permit through FDEP. In
<br />particular, the firm prepared a CCCL survey, through a combination of field ground truthing and CAD work. Miller Legg then related the proposed improvement features to the CCCL in
<br />CAD drawings which were submitted to FDEP as part of the CCCL permit application.

<br />Principal-in-Charge: Miller Legg was the prime consultant for the replacement of existing boardwalk and minor structures at the 12-acre Oceanfront Boardwalk Park in Boynton Beach.
<br />The goal of the City was to renovate their only beach access park. Other elements of this improvement project included hardscape, lighting and landscape. Services provided by the
<br />Miller Legg team included environmental permitting, surveying, architectural design, structural engineering, electrical engin eering, landscape architecture, site analysis, construction
<br />documents and construction observation services. This project required extensive coordination with the City’s Park & Recreat ion Department, Public Works Department, Purchasing
<br />Department, Building Department, and various subconsultants.

<br />Project Manager: Miller Legg was the prime consultant for the permitting and design of enhancements for the second phase of this 1,500-acre estuarine wetland. The firm has provided
<br />both environmental and engineering services for necessary mitigation for the Port Everglades and Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport expansion projects. Services provided
<br />included: paving and drainage improvements for the nature center and associated parking lot, design of three sewage pump stat ions, water distribution system design, sanitary sewage
<br />collection and transmission system design, off-site force main, traffic engineering, surveying, water quality data analysis, hypothesis development and review, sediment ana lysis, fishery
<br />analysis, rip-rap design, benthic macro-invertebrate identification, seagrass survey, mitigation credit determination, and USACE dredge and fill permitting. The seagrass survey was
<br />conducted using scuba diving and digital global positioning satellite equipment and included transect/quadrant measurements o f seagrass density, abundance, and frequency of occurrence.

<br />and South Beach Boardwalk Park. Services included existing site condition analysis, on-site jurisdictional determination, and preparation and submittal of applications and sketches
<br />indicating project plan with mitigation, and support data to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Miller Legg also prepared a mitigation plan for Kimberly Bergalis and
<br />South Beach Boardwalk Parks, which included designing a plan to offset dune impacts associated with the proposed improvements .
