Qualifications
In its relatively short history, PDS has been able to secure important contracts such as the Continuing
Architectural/Engineering Services Contract in Federally Funded projects with Miami-Dade Transit,
the Continuing Architectural/Engineering Services Contract projects with Broward County Transit, GIS
input on all water and wastewater infrastructure assets in the City of Miami Springs, working for the
Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department, the Citywide Topographic Surveys for the City of Opa-
Locka CIP program, all the utility design and coordination for the expansion of the South Runway
Extension at the FLL Airport. All of these projects give stability to the company and allow for future
growth. These projects were procured and are being executed with the PDS approach to help our
clients no matter what.
The firm's most valuable asset: our professional staff has more than 100 years of combined experience
in consulting engineering and surveying services that include pre-design, land surveying, utility
investigation, design, construction management, inspection, storm-water, water and wastewater,
environmental compliance, land development, site remediation, feasibility studies, value engineering,
permitting, and design/build projects, including projects at Port Everglades. Currently, PDS employs
on a full time basis five professional engineers (PE), two engineers in training (EI), one Florida
Licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM), and four technicians and technical staff members.
PDS has developed an important strength in the local market, in the surveying, Civil and
Transportation Engineering fields, securing continuing engineering contracts with county agencies
such as Miami-Dade Transit and Broward County Transit, the two largest transit authorities in the
State. PDS core business is with Federally Funded projects, and PDS is experienced in dealing with
surveying, engineering and construction of Federally Funded projects, with funding from FTA, FHWA
and ARRA Federal Funds. PDS understands the reporting, management and critical schedule
deadlines federally funded projects bring.
PDS has extensive experience in the topographic surveying and engineering design of pedestrian
facilities, as one of our strongest sectors is transit and land development, both, having strong emphasis
on pedestrian use. PDS has designed improvements to sidewalks and transit bus stops at over 1,000
locations in south Florida, surveying and designing ADA compliant sidewalks, walkways, landing pads,
waiting areas, and bus shelters. PDS has also been involved in the peer review and verification of
design documents for a new Miami-Dade Transit pedestrian bridge near the University of Miami.
Some of PDS’ experience in municipal projects and track record of delivering projects within budget,
finding a way to take the project to a successful completion speaks for itself. Rather than further
explaining our experience, the following list shows recently completed projects for a municipality or
county agency, executed by PDS as a prime consultant within the project schedule and budget:
Proposer’s experience, past performance, financial capabilities,
violations, and litigation.
