(PDS) served as a prime consultant responsible for providing <br />professional engineering, surveying and permitting services to Broward County Transit (BCT) for the Bus <br />Shelter Expansion Program in the analysis and design of existing and proposed Bus Stop locations <br />throughout Broward County, under the Transit Infrastructure & Shelter Improvements at Bus Stops <br />Project. PDS’s responsibilities for this project includes preparation of surveys, coordination of <br />geotechnical investigations, civil engineering design, structural engineering design, electrical design, <br />landscape design, permit preparation and processing, modification of permits acquired by the BCTD, <br />maintenance of traffic plans, utility relocations coordination, stormwater management and construction <br />management. <br />Through this project, PDS has designed over 500 bus shelters at exiting or relocated bus stop locations <br />through 18 independent work orders in various municipalities in Broward County. Features include the <br />addition of curb and gutter, ADA Compliant landing pads, sidewalk connectors, handicap ramps, solar- <br />lighted shelters and shelter pads. In addition, PDS has prepared paving, grading and drainage plans to <br />depict proper stormwater conveyance and retention as per the proposed improvements. Utility <br />coordination has been provided and in order to accommodate the proposed improvements, PDS has <br />successfully designed and coordinated the relocation of existing utilities as necessary. <br />Premiere Design Solution’s role in the project is: <br />Lead design Engineer responsible for the design and management of the project to ensure <br />design completion within the allowable time schedule. <br />Topographic surveys in NAVD 88 and State Plane Coordinates. <br />The design of the paving, grading and drainage to ensure ADA compliance. <br />The design of Electrical components such as lighting and solar power supplies. <br />Structural design of shelter foundation pads and retaining walls as applicable. <br />Processing, completion and submittal of all regulatory agency permits. <br />Construction Engineering Inspection support services to BCT inspectors. <br />All work orders have been completed as independent projects, and all of them have been <br />completed in time and within the allocated schedule. <br />Broward County Transit <br />Bus Shelter Expansion Program <br />Broward County, Florida <br />137
