Mr. Eckardt is responsible for overseeing engineering plans production, <br />quality control and making sure our Clients needs are incorporated into our <br />engineering design. Mr. Eckardt’s experience in the public sector includes planning <br />and design for new and existing transit infrastructure facilities in different <br />municipalities throughout Miami-Dade and Broward County. For these types of <br />projects Mr. Eckardt has designed Bus Terminal Improvements, Bus Stop <br />Improvements, Bus Shelters, Site ADA Compliance, Park and Ride construction <br />Inspections and many other site and utility infrastructure improvement projects for <br />Miami-Dade County. Mr. Eckardt has also managed and designed potable water and <br />sanitary sewer collection systems for the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department, <br />and has a vast experience in utility coordination and land development projects, and <br />is familiar with the required management of staff and sub-consultants on small, <br />medium and large size infrastructure projects. <br /> <br />RELEVANT EXPERIENCE <br /> <br />8-Inch Water Main Extensions for the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer <br />Department (M-DWASD), Miami-Dade County, Florida - Mr. Eckardt was <br />responsible for the design of over 10,000LF of 8-inch Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) of water <br />distribution pipeline throughout Miami-Dade County as part of their Needs <br />Assessment Program. Mr. Eckardt was in charge of this project from conception to <br />final design submittal. Responsibilities included meetings with client, utility <br />coordination, future project coordination, bid document and specifications <br />preparation, design and construction scheduling updates, preparation of <br />engineering cost estimates, design and plans preparation, quality control and <br />coordination with all the stakeholders. <br /> <br />MDT Park-and-Ride at SW 147 Ave and SR 836 Express Bus Service Planning <br />Support, Miami-Dade Transit, FL – Mr. Eckardt was the project manager for the <br />prime consulting firm responsible to analyze the impacts of the relocation of an <br />existing terminal located at FIU Main campus to Parking Garage VI, and creating <br />concepts for the Panther Station. Mr. Eckardt also led the update of the Categorical <br />Exclusion Document prepared for FTA to obtain federal support on this project. Mr. <br />Eckardt coordinated conceptual design for the panther station, traffic analysis, <br />conducted public meetings for the SR 836 Express Bus Service project, noise study <br />for Tamiami Station, analyzed route intersections for queue jumps and TSP <br />application and cost estimating. <br /> <br />ADA Compliant Bus Stop Improvement, Town of Miami Lakes, Miami Lakes, <br />Florida - Mr. Eckardt was the project manager and engineer of record for this project <br />which included the filed data collection, topographic survey, scope determination <br />and the generation of demolition, new construction, and maintenance of traffic plans. <br />Project provided the client with the design for ADA improvements to 11 bus stops <br />locations, new bus shelters, concrete pads, sidewalks and amenities. Project <br />included the coordination with Town, Miami-Dade Transit, conduct underground <br />utility investigations and permitting. <br /> <br />Bennett Lifter Park. City of Miami Gardens, Miami Dade County, Florida. The <br />intent of the project was to construct additional parking spaces within the park <br />facility, just south of the existing guardhouse. In addition, an overflow parking area <br />was proposed along the existing curve behind the restroom building. This project <br />added 38 newly paved parking spaces and included the use of asphalt pavement, <br />concrete curbs, concrete sidewalks, pavement markings, and signage. Mr. Eckardt <br />served as project manager and was responsible for the civil engineering design and <br />all coordination with Owner, Client and stakeholders. Mr. Eckardt also obtained the <br />permits with regulatory agencies for this project. 155
