GUSTAVO ECKARDT, P.E. <br />Project Manager <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Hard Rock Stadium Pedestrian Bridges and Tunnels City of Miami Gardens, Florida. The City of Miami <br />Gardens engaged a Design/Build firm to design, permit and construct pedestrian improvements at the Hard Rock <br />Stadium in the City of Miami Gardens, which completed prior to a big event scheduled for February 2, 2020. Proposed <br />pedestrian prefabricated metal bridge, fully enclosed with galvanized mesh, with minimum clearance of 17.5’, a span <br />of approximately 145’, height of 15’ and 15’ of inside clear width, with concrete ramps and steps to provide ingress <br />and egress to proposed pedestrian overpass. Proposed ramps and steps were constructed in private land, which <br />access to the public will be uninterrupted, open 24 hours a day and an easement granted to the City of Miami <br />Gardens to place proposed ramps in public land. Mr. Eckardt served as project manager and was responsible for <br />the civil engineering design and all coordination with Owner, Client and stakeholders. Mr. Eckardt also obtained the <br />permits with regulatory agencies for this project. <br /> <br />Pump Station 11C Upgrades, Opa-Locka, FL. - Mr. Eckardt was the project manager and engineer of record for <br />this project to provide upgrades to the master lift station in the City of Opa-Locka responsible for collection all sanitary <br />sewer flows in the city and routing them to the receiving County pump station via a 12” force main. Project included <br />the structural building renovations, completely new electrical system, pump controls, telemetry, replacement of the <br />three main 140 HP VFD pumps rated at 3200 GPM and the design of a standby emergency diesel operated pump. <br />Permitting services through the City, RER, FPL Coordination & construction support were provided. <br /> <br />Miramar Pineland Park Topographic Survey, City of Miramar, Florida. – The proposed project includes <br />renovating/remodeling of the existing recreation building, demolishing the existing tennis courts, playground, fencing <br />and any other features not designated to remain and constructing a new parking lot and pavilion, refurbishing an <br />existing pavilion, installation of new sports court lighting, along with associated site improvements including but not <br />limited to parking lot and hardscape improvements, lighting, fencing, landscaping, irrigation, lightning <br />prediction/detection, site video surveillance and Wi-Fi. Mr. Eckardt as the Project Manager provided coordination <br />design, cost estimate and submittals with client. <br /> <br />Citywide CIP Water & Sewer Improvement Surveys, City of Opa-Locka, FL This project includes the topographic <br />route surveys for over 200,000 LF of roadway to receive water and sewer improvements as part of the Capital <br />Improvements Program (CIP) throughout the City of Opa-Locka. PDS is part of the Team to provide design criteria <br />packages for the letting of this work. Mr. Eckardt was the Survey Project Manager on this project and was responsible <br />for coordination of field crews, preparing progress reports to client, scheduling work and production of survey <br />drawings to be presented to the client within the approved project schedule. <br /> <br />Pump Station Improvements & Replacement, Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (M-DWASD), Miami, <br />Florida - Mr. Eckardt is the project manager and engineer of record for the design of improvements to existing M- <br />DWASD pump Station, including the design of new pump stations. The design includes all disciplines including <br />electrical, structural and mechanical engineering under Mr. Eckardt’s guidance. Project include site layout, some <br />include on-site power generators, paved driveways, concrete slabs and structures and tree relocations as needed. <br /> <br />Miami Executive Airport RIM Taxiway Modifications, Miami-Dade Aviation Department, FL – Mr. Eckardt is the <br />project manager for this project to design modifications to the existing configuration of Taxiways “A” and “D” as they <br />intersect and approach Runways 9L and 13 at the west terminus of the Airport. Mr. Eckardt has been responsible for <br />design and coordination of demolition plans, new pavement design, runway and taxiway lighting design, pavement <br />markings & signage, stormwater pollution prevention plans, construction phasing, and access route designation. <br /> <br />University Station Pedestrian Overpass Peer Review, Miami-Dade Transit, Florida – This project was led by <br />Mr. Eckardt as Peer Review project manager, and included a comprehensive peer review of design, specifications, <br />constructability and cost estimates developed by the MDT Consultant secured to design the pedestrian overpass <br />at US-1 and Mariposa Drive in Coral Gables, FL to provide connectivity to pedestrians coming to and from the <br />University Station of the MetroRail and in the vicinity of the University of Miami. Mr. Eckardt led the multidisciplinary <br />team of reviewers, and was also responsible for the civil plans and specifications review. <br /> <br />MDT Park-and-Ride at SW 344 Street Special Inspections, Miami -Dade Transit, FL – Mr. Eckardt is Responsible <br />for this task to provide special inspections for reinforced concrete and structural elements for the City of Florida City <br />during the construction of this MDT - 266 space parking lot with bus bays and shelters, located west of the southern <br />end of the Busway between NW 2nd Avenue and NW 3rd Avenue at 344th Street. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />156
