RFQ No. 20-07-01
City of Sunny Isles Beach Beach
August 2020

D – Project Approach and Understanding
Our qualified individuals are able to put the
technology to work in the advantage of the client.
All of our computers have at least quad-core processors
running the latest version of MacOS with a the latest version
Microsoft Windows 10 running as a virtual environment to
provide optimal compatibility when required. These high end
computers are required to run our in house latest versions of
design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D with capabilities to
do 3D modeling, ArcGIS 10 to create GIS models, modeling
software as iCPR and HydraFLOW and our management tools
as MS Projects, and Oracle Primavera P6. We also have all the
printing capabilities in house, with full size 24”x36”, half size
11”x17” and high speed regular printing, enabling us to
produce hard copies and deliverables for our clients, at the
push of a button.
Our staff managing and working on this project, will be
working from our headquarters, with all of the above at their
disposition, and most importantly, less than 30 minutes away
from the City of Sunny Isles Beach. This would give us an
excellent response time to any request the City may have. Our staff is also trained in client satisfaction,
and will provide responses within 24 hours of request, and usually a lot quicker than that. Our Key staff
has PDS mobile phones which are carried 24hours a day, so we will always be just a call away, any time,
any day. Our responsiveness is usually highly praised by our clients, and in this, PDS is second to none.
Based on our experience with similar project, PDS envisions this project to be developed as follows:
Once a specific task order is initiated by the City or identified by PDS, a Scoping Meeting will be held to
establish common goals, budgetary and scheduling constraints, critical success factors, and how the
project fits into the City’s overall program. PDS is also very aware of the turmoil most government
agencies are going through; therefore we are very conscious of the budgetary constraints of the projects.
PDS usually goes above and beyond the consultant’s duties, to help the City make the project a reality,
becoming a catalyst of the project. We will do just that with the City of Sunny Isles Beach. This session
will typically be joined by City staff, consultants, and the PDS Team, with the purpose of creating an
understanding of the project scope and commitment to the project goals, and finding the best way to
take the project to a successful completion.
After the scope has been established, our managing team and project engineers will each think as an
extension of the City staff. In this phase, PDS will provide coordination with all stakeholders, including
the Utilities Department, City departments, and other government agencies involved in a project.
Staying in constant contact and communication with all applicable stakeholders ensures a project team
that understands the impact of all those involved.

32
