BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost)

CPE assists Collier County in designing, permitting, construction oversight of their comprehensive shore protection project
that includes periodic beach nourishment along 8.5 miles of Gulf of Mexico. Our engineers and biologists supported the
County under previous employment and now as a subconsultant with: state and federal permitting; preparation of BOEM
Environmental Assessment updates for NEPA compliance; development of project engineering reports; preparation and
implementation of mitigation and biological monitoring plans; preparation of plans and specifications; numerical modeling;
and funding assistance. Our staff permitted, designed, and assisted with construction management of several of the Collier
County truck haul beach renourishment projects. Most recently, CPE assisted the County with a beach nourishment project
that was successfully bid and constructed from October - December 2019 using
truck haul and conveyor methods to deliver approximately 165,000 tons of material
from an upland mine to the beaches. CPE supported Collier County during
construction by reviewing contractor submittals, conducting on-site observations,
participating in weekly progress meetings, and reviewing pay applications. We are
also providing technical support for the USACE Collier County Coastal Storm Risk
Management Feasibility Study, which is a comprehensive feasibility study to
promote resiliency and reduce the risk of coastal storm damage. In addition to
supporting the County’s beach nourishment program, CPE is currently providing
engineering and pre-permitting agency coordination for their Cocohatchee River
Dredging project, which aims to improve flushing and water quality.

25.
