Sampling and Laboratory Testing included Modified Proctor tests on pads, roadway,
structural fill, footings, slabs, and utility backfill; LBR tests on roadway, subgrade and base materials;
and compressive strength concrete cylinders for foundations, slabs, sidewalks, and curbs; compressive
strength grout prisms for CMU walls; and compressive strength grout cubes for auger-cast piles. TSF
technicians performed In-Place-Density testing on foundation pads, structural fill, footings, slabs,
subgrade, base, and backfill material; conducted slump and temperature testing on concrete; and
molded compressive strength test cylinders, grout prisms, and grout cubes for auger-cast piles. TSF also
provided a senior engineering technician for sheet pile installation observation and an auger-cast pile
technician during test-pile and production pile installation. Completed on time and within budget
in 2017
Cultural Pavilion at Triangle Park, City of Doral, Florida. TSF provided Geotechnical Engineering Services for the Cultural Pavilion at Triangle Park in the City of Doral, Florida. The project consists of a single-story cultural pavilion encompassing an area of about 9,200 square feet and walkways. The purpose of this study was to explore the subsurface conditions at the site to enable an evaluation of acceptable foundation and pavement systems for the construction. TSF’s geotechnical field study included SPT borings and borehole permeability testing. Provided a geotechnical engineering report including geotechnical evaluations and recommendations regarding site preparation, foundations, floor slab, utilities, construction considerations, excavations and inspections/quality control testing.
Completed on time and within budget in 2019
Mast Arms and High Mast Lights - Pelican Harbor Park Parking Lot Improvements, Miami,
Florida Provided geotechnical engineering services for the parking lot improvements project in Miami, Florida. The project also includes high mast lights, and a mast arm at the NE 79th Street intersection with the Pelican Harbor Park. The purpose of the study was to provide Geotechnical (i.e. soils and groundwater) input to the design team to assist in evaluation of the merits of the potential mast arm and high mast light installations. The study was performed to obtain information on the existing subsurface conditions at the project site to assist in the design and preparation of construction plans for the improvements. Field work included SPT borings; Measured groundwater levels at the time of drilling; and Visually classified and stratified the samples in the laboratory using the ASTM Unified Soil Classification System (USCS). Provided Geotechnical Service Report summarizing the course of study pursued, field data, subsurface conditions, and engineering recommendations regarding foundation design and Drilled Shaft construction. Completed on time
and within budget in 2016
Bal Harbor Jetty Improvement Project, Miami-Dade County, Florida. TSF provided Geotechnical Engineering Services for the Bal Harbor Jetty Improvement Project located in Miami-Dade, Florida. This improvements include stairs, supported walkways, and cantilever walkways. TSF’s geotechnical field study included SPT borings, collected soil samples and performed laboratory tests to provide soil parameters for the foundation analysis. Provided soil parameters for lateral analysis. Performed an axial capacity of drilled shafts and driven pre-stressed concrete piles. Provided a geotechnical engineering report including geotechnical evaluations and recommendations regarding shallow foundations, drilled shaft capacity analyses, driven pile axial capacity, concrete pile installation, dynamic pile driving analysis, test pile program, lateral stability and soil parameters, and construction considerations including site preparation procedures, site clearing, shallow compaction and engineering fill, and footings. Completed on time and within budget in 2020 Kings Meadow Park, Miami, Florida. TSF provided Construction Material Testing Services for the King’s Meadow Park located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The project consists of two new basketball courts, repairs to the existing sidewalks, milling and resurfacing of existing asphalt parking lot and a parking lot extension. TSF’s services included laboratory testing, soils and concrete sampling/testing and reporting. Sampling and Laboratory Testing included modified proctor values
28
