<br /> PBC R.G. Kreusler Park Restroom Building & Entry Drive Modification, Palm Beach, Florida. Provided Construction Materials Testing/Resident Inspection Services for the project which included a new one-story restroom building, widening of the existing entry drive, asphalt pathway, sidewalks, and curbs. The building will be on a shallow foundation, slab-on-grade, CMU walls, metal trusses, and aluminum roof panels. Sampling and Laboratory Testing included Modified Proctor values on structural fill, footings, slabs, and backfill material; LBR tests on subgrade and base materials; compressive strength concrete cylinders, for foundations, slabs, sidewalks, and curbs; compressive strength grout prisms for CMU walls. Construction Materials Testing included in-Place-Density testing on foundation soils, and slab; slump, and temperature testing on concrete and grout; compressive strength test cylinders and prisms. Completed on time and within budget in 2017 John Prince Memorial Park-Mounds Circle Redevelopment, Palm Beach County, Florida: Provided Construction Materials Testing Services for the John Prince Memorial Park-Mounds Circle Redevelopment project in Lake Worth, Florida. The project included new asphalt paths, concrete sidewalks and curbs, parking lots, and paved roads. Sampling and Laboratory Testing included Modified Proctor, on foundation, slab soils, and utilities; LBR test; and test compressive strength concrete cylinders. TSF technicians performed In-Place-Density testing on slabs, sidewalks, pavement, and utilities; conducted slump and temperature testing on concrete; and molded compressive strength test cylinders. <br /> Lake Okeeheelee Water Park, Palm Beach County, Florida: Completed a geotechnical exploration for the Lake Okeeheelee Water Park in the northeast corner of Forest Hill Boulevard and Florida’s Turnpike. The construction will consist of docks, utility, modular buildings, zipline course, parking, and drainage improvements. The docks and some structures could be supported on piles. The purpose of the study was to explore the subsurface conditions at the site to enable an evaluation of acceptable foundation systems for the proposed construction. Field work included SPT borings and BHP tests. Provided geotechnical recommendations for foundation and pavement design, general site development and comments regarding factors that may impact construction and performance of the proposed construction. Completed on time and within budget in 2017 PBSO Headquarters, West Palm Beach, Florida: TSF performed a geotechnical exploration for the Palm Beach County Sherriff’s Office Headquarters Building Addition located in West Palm Beach, Florida. The project consists of a two to three story structure in a “wrap” around addition to the existing structure. TSF’s geotechnical field study included SPT borings. Provided a geotechnical report containing recommendations regarding foundation recommendations, foundation soil preparation requirements, foundation types, depths, allowable bearing capacities, an estimate of potential settlement and comments regarding factors that may impact construction and performance of the construction. Completed on time and within budget in 2018
