SEWER COLLECTION SYSTEMS & FORCE MAIN PROJECTS <br />•Glades County -Washington Park Sanitary Sewer Improvements-Phase I, Moore Haven, Rorlda <br />Status: On-going (Beginning Construction Phase) <br />Prime Consultant: CAS <br />Key CAS Staff: Gene R. Schriner, James Orth, Keith Schriner, Robert KeenerScope of Work: Survey, design, permitting, preparation of construction plans, cost estimates, <br />contract documents, assistance during bidding, construction management and certification <br />through project close-out for a new park/playground for residents, one (1) duplex submersible <br />sanitary sewer lift station, 1, 750-LF of FM, 9,630-LF of gravity sewer collection system, sewer <br />services for approximately 120 existing units with the potential of servicing approximately 300 <br />units at residential buildout. Phase I includes the construction of the wastewater lift station, <br />force main and 800 linear feet of gravity sewer. This project is 50% CDBG funded with <br />matching funds being provided by Glades County. <br />Pro/ect Challenges & Approach: Engineering analysis was made to determine the optimal feasible <br />location of the wastewater lift station to maximize gravity sewer service connections prior to final <br />engineering design. <br />Design Cost Clncludlng Construction Management): $134,000 <br />Construction Cost: $615,000 <br />•City of Lake Worth Beach -Lake Osborne Estates Water Main Replacement Project -Phase I, <br />Lake Worth, Florida <br />Status: On-going (Construction Phase -75% Complete) <br />Prime Consultant: CAS <br />Key CAS Staff: James Orth, Dimitrios Scarlatos, Frank Vilar, Robert Keener, James F. Driscoll, <br />William TantoScope of Work: Survey, utility locates, design, permitting, preparation of construction plans, cost <br />estimates, contract documents, assistance during bidding, construction management and <br />certification through project close-out for the replacement of approximately 16,400 linear feet of <br />water main varying in size from 4" to 12" serving 228 homes in the Lake Osborne Estates <br />residential area. The majority of the existing water mains and water services are located in the <br />rear of properties and have exceeded their useful life, requiring relocation to the frontage of <br />homes. Addltlonal services Include public outreach and preparation of application package for <br />SRF funding. The contracted construction cost was approximately $800,000 below the engineers <br />estimate and SRF loan has been secured for the project.
