Driscoll, Tony <br />GomesScope of Work: Survey, design, preparation of construction plans and contract documents, <br />permitting, bidding assistance, construction management and limited construction observation <br />through project closeout/start-up services for the decommissioning the existing wet pit/dry pit lift <br />station and converting to a duplex submersible station along with the installation of a new wetwell <br />and valve vault. In addition, the installation of all stainless steel piping inside the proposed wet <br />well, relining existing structures, force main replacement, new water service line and backflow <br />preventer, fencing, and upgrading the electrical equipment including control panel and SCADA <br />system. This project is a continuation of a design that was started in 2008 and CAS was tasked to <br />update the design plans to current standards. Design was completed on time and within budget. <br />Pro/ect Challenges & Approach: This project consists of retrofitting the existing dry can wetwe/1 <br />into a terminal sewer manhole and installing a new wetwe/1 within a congested utility area and <br />nearby overhead powerlines. A tremie-pour installation may be the preferred method of wetwe/1 <br />construction for this project. <br />Design Cost: $54,932 <br />Construction Cost Estimate: $ 560,000 <br />•City of Margate -East WWTP Dumping Station Rehabllltatlon, Margate, Florida <br />Status: On-Hold as per Owner/Client's Request (Design Complete) <br />Prime Consultant: CAS <br />Key CAS Staff: James Orth, Greg Giarratana, Keith Schriner, Robert Keener, James F. Driscoll, Tony <br />GomesScope of Work: Survey, design, preparation of construction plans and contract documents, <br />permitting, bidding assistance, construction management and limited construction observation <br />through project closeout/start-up services for the replacing/rehabilitation of the City's existing <br />vacuum truck decant dumping station for storm, sewer and soft dig wastes. The project included a <br />report outlining the different options, demolition of the existing site, utility research within the <br />plant and improvements to the existing conveyance system.
