Smith, James F. Driscoll, Robert Keener, David Lookabill, Donald Drake
Scope of Work: Performed surveying, mapping and utility locating and provide a pre-design survey
for 3 phases of a water distribution and sewer force main piping replacement project. CAS
performed a complete right-of-way survey which included all existing above-ground/below-ground
utilities, easements, trees, landscaping, property ownership and utility poles and wires. The
project included 1.3 miles of Northlake Boulevard from Old Dixie Highway (SR 811) in Phase 1, 1
mile of US Highway 1 from Northlake Boulevard south to Silver Beach Road in Phase 2, and 1.7
miles of US Highway 1 from Northlake Boulevard north to the North Palm Beach waterway in
Phase 3. 3D laser scanning was utilized to accurately capture point clouds in order to re-create all
surface objects. This project was completed on time and within budget.
Project Cost: $203,325
•Sunshine Water Control Dis trict West Outfall canal Survey -Phase 1A, 1C & 2, Coconut Creek,
Florida
Status: Completed 2017
Prime Consultant: CAS
Key CAS Staff: Gene R. Schriner, Robert Keener, James F. Driscoll
Scope of Work: CAS prepared 1.89 miles of topographic and route survey for the development of
engineering dredging plans. CAS performed a complete survey beyond the limits of the canal's
170-foot right-of-way including 100-foot cross sections for canal depth, utility locations, elevations,
trees and landscaping, and bridge pile configurations at Coral Springs Drive and Pump Station No.
2.This project was completed on time and within budget.
Pro!ect Cost: $45,032
•Mlaml-Oade Public Housing & Communi ty Development -Elizabeth Vlrrlck Public Housing Project
-Phase I & II, Miami-Dade County, Florida
Status: Completed 2017
Prime Consultant: CAS
Key CAS Staff: Stephen C. Smith, James F. Driscoll, Robert Keener, David Lookabill
Scope of Work: Provided field and office surveying services to produce a map of boundary and
topographic survey for Public Housing and Community Development Elizabeth Virrick I and II
public hou sing units. The scope of work included survey of all above ground, visible improvements
with pertinent elevations to 25 feet beyond each property line, on-site elevations relative to the
North American Vertical Datum (NAVO) of 1988 were collected on a minimum 50-foot grid,
generation of 1-foot surface contours, trees 4" of greater were located and shown with their
caliper sizes at breast height (ABH), outlines of onsite hedges and brush areas were located and
shown, surface elevations adjacent to trees were shown, drainage and gravity sewer structure
information was collected including pipe size, inverts, material and direction as available. Also
crown elevations were gathered along each adjacent road at approximately 50-foot intervals.
Utility locates were also performed to verify location of buried utilities within the project area. The
survey was conducted relative to the Florida Minimum Technical Standards as defined by chapter
MTS SJ-17, Florida Administrative Code.
