The stormwater <br />improvements included the installation of stormwater gravity collection systems with water quality treatment <br />components incorporated into the project design. This project supported and augmented the protection of the <br />Northern Everglades Ecosystem, the Lake Okeechobee Protection Act, and accomplished objectives of the South <br />Florida Water Management District. This project was 100% grant funded. Total design costs including <br />construction management for the project were $348,870. Total construction cost was $1,392,670. Design incorporated engineering techniques <br />to reduce future sea level rises such as elevating the existing roadways, increasing the size of the drainage <br />system, providing water quality, installing three pump stations and backflow prevention devices to avoid extreme <br />high tides for re-entering the systems. Design cost were $404,154 and total project cost was $8,000,000. <br />Title and location (City and State) I (2)YEAR COMPLETED <br />Ranch Lake Estates Southwest Improvements <br />City of Moore Haven, Florida PROFESSIONAL CONSTRUCTION (If SERVICES Aoolicable) <br />2010 2015 <br />(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND X Check if project performed with current <br />SPECIFIC ROLE firm <br />k Project Manager & design Engineer: The Ranch Lakes Estates Improvements Project for the City of Moore Haven <br />consisted of the construction of a gravity stormwater drainage system along with two major stormwater pump <br />stations including force mains and canal dredging. Construction included the installation of 7,103 linear feet of <br />HOPE drainage pipe ranging in diameter from 15-inch to 48-inch, 1,044 linear feet of force main, 76 drainage <br />structures, and two stormwater pump station with two pumps. Total construction cost was $2,031 ,000. The <br />project began in January 2010 and was completed in July 2015 without liquidated damages. At the owner's <br />request, pumps were redesigned to operate under tractor power during emergency conditions in lieu of traditional <br />standby generator.
