(i.e., 60% design plan deliverables at traditional 30% design <br />phase). CAS' unified design process includes survey and utility locates which are services provided "in <br />house" by CAS thus, eliminating the need for subconsultants for the development of basemaps and <br />allowing for a streamlined efficient and more cost-effective design. Acquiring comprehensive and <br />accurate utility locates in order to develop complete basemaps will be critical to the successful <br />completion of most projects, eliminating design deficiencies. <br />PHASE Ill -FINAL ENGINEERING AND BIDDING <br />•Preparation of 90% design and final <br />(1.00%) construction plans <br />•Preparation of final specifications and <br />contract documents <br />•Quality Assurance Review with City <br />•Finalize cost estimate; Develop Bid <br />Tabulation (Schedule of Values) <br />•Meet with City Staff to review final <br />project design, schedule and budget <br />•Finalize permitting (DERM, HRS, MIAMI <br />DADE WATER & SEWER, MIAMI-DADE <br />PUBLIC WORKS, FDEP, FDOT, CITY <br />BUILDING DEPT., etc.) <br />•Advertise for bidding <br />•Provide plan adjustments and finalize <br />for bidding <br />•Bid project (typical 30 days); solicit <br />qualified bidders <br />•Prepare bid addendums and answer <br />contractor RFl's <br />•Assist City in receipt of bids <br />•Review bids and bidder qualifications <br />•Recommend award <br />•Assist City with contract management <br />)45 Commercial Trail, Boca Raton, FL 33486 • Ph: 561-314-4445 • www.craigasmith.com • LB3110
