BCWWS Water and Waste Water Services Continuing Contract, Broward County, FL: Broward County Water and Wastewater Services is implementing a new septic tank elimination program which consists of short sanitary sewer runs to serve small pockets of previously unserved properties. KEITH is providing engineering services for water distribution, wastewater collection and storm water collection systems. As the Prime consultant, KEITH is providing design and construction support services throughout the county related to the septic tank elimination program. Broward County Water and Wastewater Services (BCWWS) District 3A Septic Tank Elimination Program (STEP) Area 3A-N: Prepare and develop a preliminary analysis report of options and their construction cost, as required for the site selection for the construction of a sanitary sewer lift station to service 36 customers in the project area. This included the preparation of schematic engineering plans to support the cost estimate for the different options. Broward County Water and Wastewater Services (BCWWS) District 3A Septic Tank Elimination Program (STEP) Area 3A-L1: Prepare and develop construction document plans and their construction cost, as required to eliminate septic tanks and extend the public sanitary sewer to service 4 customers in the project area. This also included the preparation of schematic engineering plans and cost estimates for two additional alternative options to serve the project area. North Perry Airport Park and Ride, Broward County Transit (BCT), Pembroke Pines, FL: Mr. Koggan assisted as a project engineer for this new Park and Ride facility located at the North Perry Airport which provides a location that allows residents in the vicinity of Pembroke Road and University Drive the ability to utilize the Broward County Transit System for transportation throughout the County. The Transit Department provides this facility with over 175 parking spaces and access to major transit routes throughout Broward County. Mr. Koggan assisted in obtaining permits and engineering services during construction for the development of this parking site. The project was fast tracked with the local Municipality and County governmental agencies, as well as the Broward County Aviation Department for the development of this site in just a few months. The fast tracking included the design and obtaining the necessary permits in just under 30 days. The PDS design included the new pavement section design, new lighting system with photometric plans and the drainage system to serve the parking facility in order to meet local permitting code criteria. North Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (NRWWTP) Load Center and Motor Control Centers Rehabilitation, Pompano Beach, FL: The scope of this project includes the design and engineering services during construction for the replacement of Load Centers 5 and 6 related Motor Control Centers (MCC), and replacement/rehabilitation of associated duct banks at the North Regional Wastewater Treatment Plan (NRWWTP). Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building Stormwater and Sanitary Sewer Condition Assessment, Miami, FL: This project included the condition assessment and design of repairs of aging infrastructure under the existing court building named Richard E. Gernstein in Miami. Mr. Koggan’s role was in part putting together field reports, which included pipe camera inspections, a standard penetration test, and GPR radar verifications. Being as it was that the project included dewatering in the basement, a detailed environmental analysis was conducted to research nearby contamination records. As-Built drawings were generated locating identified problem areas and a report was submitted proposing possible alternatives for repair. Engineering Inspired Design.
